THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Leader of the Opposition has released a letter written by director Kamal Sarkar to the Kerala Chalachithra Academy, asking them to stabilize the Left staff who have been working for the party for four years.
Kamal wants to appoint the Deputy Director of the Festival, the Festival Program Manager, the Deputy Director of Programs and the Program Manager. The letter points out that stabilizing the four people currently working on contract basis would be beneficial to the academy, the Left government and the film industry.
Stabilizing the staff will not impose any financial burden on the academy. All four were selected through transparent procedures. These 4 employees are the great contributors behind the achievements of the academy. In a letter to Culture Minister AK Balan, he said that stabilizing these Left sympathizers would help maintain the Left character of the film academy.
