Perm doctor told how to restore lungs after coronavirus | TIPS | HEALTH

Chief physician of the football club “Zvezda” Sergei Dolgomirov he said that he would help restore the lungs after coronavirus, as well as about the rehabilitation regime for those who had been ill.

Sergei Dolgomirov says that there is no clear recovery method immediately after COVID-19. However, there are medical recommendations that will help you recover faster and return the body to its previous healthy state.

First of all, the doctor advises observing a water-drinking regime, balanced proper nutrition and a good night’s sleep.

“Night sleep should be at least 8 hours a day. A person must get enough sleep, because during sleep all the restorative processes take place, ”he explains.

He advises to include in the food sea fish, meat, vitamins.

“In order for a person to receive sufficient amounts of protein, the necessary fats. Therefore, the diet should be complete, balanced and fully include all the nutrients necessary for a person, ”explains the expert.

Immediately after waking up, the doctor advises to drink a glass of water. During the day, all other drinks are best replaced with water. The volume of water drunk per day must be at least 2.5 liters (in addition to other liquids).

“Our blood should not be thick, it should be stringy, liquid,” he notes.

Sergey Dolgomirov says that the coronavirus infection is quite difficult and often affects the lung tissue, which causes the respiratory and cardiovascular systems to suffer.

“During the rehabilitation period, they need to be restored. Therefore, it is very important to do breathing exercises. Lying in bed, the body cannot be restored. Therefore, gradually you need to get used to small, light aerobic exercise. Start from simple to complex – walking, exercising. Go for a 20 minute morning and evening walk. It is better to monitor your heart rate, ”he says.

Walking can be replaced by exercise on a stationary bike or swimming. But everything must be done gradually, without a heavy load.

The doctor also shares exercises to help restore the lungs after illness.

For the first, you need a one and a half liter bottle. It must be half filled with water, and then the end of a thin tube (like the one used for droppers) is lowered to the bottom. Then you need to take the other end of the tube into your mouth and quickly make 10-15 exhalation movements into the column of liquid in the bottle. Then you need to pause.

“And so during the day, do it 7-8 times. This will straighten our lungs and improve their aeration. If you cannot do this now, you can create resistance to exhalation through tightly compressed lips. Repeat this exercise 7-8 times during the day for 15-20 exhalations. And it will be very effective, ”the doctor advises.
