Perimetral closes in Oviedo, Gijón and Avilés until November 18

The Government of Asturias will maintain the perimeter closures of the municipalities of Avilés, Gijón and Oviedo, as well as that of the autonomous community, until “at least” on November 18. In the same way, it recommends to the citizens that voluntarily carry out home confinement to stop coronavirus infections and to limit activity, mobility and social interaction until the specified date.

What are the good reasons for entering and leaving “confined” areas?

  • Compliance with labor, professional, business or legal obligations.
  • Attendance at university, teaching and educational centers, including nursery schools.
  • Return to the place of habitual residence.
  • Assistance and care for the elderly, minors, dependents, people with
    disability or especially vulnerable people.
  • Travel to financial and insurance entities.
  • Carry out required or urgent actions before public bodies,
    judicial or notarial.
  • Perform renewals of permits and official documentation, as well as others
administrative procedures that cannot be postponed.
  • Take exams or official tests that cannot be postponed.
  • Due to force majeure or a situation of need.
  • Training and competitions in federated sports activities.
  • Acts of collection in orchards by their owners or tenants, as well as the care and feeding of domestic animals.
  • Acquisition of food or essential products by those who have their habitual residence in localities that, being from another council, lack establishments that allow the acquisition of such products and are bordering localities with restricted municipalities
  • Any other activity of a similar nature, duly accredited

Other measures

The regional Executive has also established a series of time slots for outdoor sports and for going for a walk. Likewise, it remains in force the curfew of the 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and the closure of all those non-essential economic activities.
