Disney+ has officially greenlit the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. The series adaptation of the book series by Rick Riordan (57) was first reported as “in progress” by the streaming provider in May 2020. The live-action adaptation of the series tells the story of the titular 12-year-old modern-day demigod as he comes to terms with his newfound supernatural powers. When the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt, Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.
