A first day for schools
On Friday 4 February, a big day dedicated to school groups will be organized by Lille Métropole Athlétisme: “Our goal is to introduce them to the practice of athletics in general and more specifically the discipline of pole vaulting, often misunderstood by young people because it is not practiced in schools., it is a complex discipline that is not accessible to everyone. Our ambition is to bring young people closer to sport”, explains Adèle Debast, head of communication and events at Lille Métropole Athlétisme. A hundred students will be welcomed. In the morning, primary school students will be able to learn these practices, while the afternoon will be dedicated to high school students.
The presence of the best athletes in the world

Broadcast live on social networks and on television, this competition recorded 3 million views during the performance of Renaud Lavillenie at 6.02m! For this new edition, the Frenchman, Olympic champion in 2012, triple indoor world champion in 2012, 2016 and 2018, will still be present and promises us great sporting moments. Racing will run throughout the Saturday, with the regional races in the morning and the Elite A competition at the end of the day. This year there will be 167 athletes of 16 nationalities.
