Sandviken has reported Edsbyn player Per Hellmyrs to the disciplinary board.
This after Hellmyrs allegedly spat in SAIK player Linus Forslund’s face.
– I think it is disgusting behaviour, says Forslund Bandypuls.
Monday’s match between Sandviken and Edsbyn ended 5-1 to Edsbyn.
After the match, the disciplinary committee has received a case on its table, regarding an incident in the match.
It was at the beginning of the second half that Linus Forslund and Per Hellmyrs ended up in a duel in front of Edsbyn’s goal. The players then went up face to face. Then Per Hellmyrs allegedly spat in Linus Forslund’s face, Sandvikenspelaren states.
– It is humiliating. They have been through a lot, but this is something else. I think it’s disgusting behaviour, says Forslund Bandypuls.
The club manager wants to see action
The incident was reported by Sandviken and Linus Forslund.
– I was completely shocked. Many different situations can happen, but this is a completely different level that has not been experienced. I was just blown away. There will be a lot of emotions and I tried to point this out to the fourth referee, but he said they hadn’t seen anything, says Forslund.
Sandviken’s club manager, Rafi Markarian, says that the club hopes that Hellmyrs will have consequences, but that a spitting scandal is difficult to prove.
– We have a problem if one of Swedish bandy’s biggest players goes around and spits in people’s faces. It’s unacceptable whoever it would be, but it stings extra when it’s one of Swedish bandy’s greatest who does it, says Markarian.
