Peps association receives a €25,410 donation from L’Écho Républicain and ASPTT Chartres: A Record-Breaking Contribution for Cancer Fight

L’Écho Républicain, a local newspaper in France, presented a symbolic check worth €25,410 to the Peps association (Prevention education for health) on Saturday, June 24. Sébastien Besse, the departmental editorial director and editor-in-chief of L’Écho Républicain, handed over the check to Stéphane Lantz, the president of Peps.

The check was the result of the Foulées roses event, which was co-organized by L’Écho Républicain, ASPTT Chartres, and the Peps association. Participants of the event were required to pay a €10 registration fee, out of which €7 was intended for the association. The remaining €3 was used to cover the logistics of the event. Registration was free for individuals born after 2010.

The amount offered to Peps for the fight against cancer greatly exceeded last year’s donation of €19,297. Stéphane Lantz expressed his gratitude to everyone involved and wished good luck to the participants of the ninth edition of the event.

The check presentation ceremony was attended by José Rolo, the deputy mayor of Chartres in charge of sports, associative life, and youth, as well as Jérôme Halley, the president of ASPTT Chartres.

The event aimed to raise awareness about cancer and support the Peps association in their efforts to provide education and prevention programs for health. The generous donation will contribute to the association’s fight against cancer and help improve the lives of patients.
