Later in the evening, the Dresden fire brigade reported with a comprehensive update. Accordingly, the victims admitted to the hospital were four women aged 20, 22, 28 and 49 years.

A child aged 12 was also among the outpatients treated. The age range in the group of those slightly injured was up to 67 years.

Otherwise, the situation on site was initially very confusing. It was not possible to identify the irritant gas used because it had already evaporated.

The fire brigade was on duty with more than 50 helpers and cordoned off the area around the restaurant on Prager Strasse.

“Nevertheless, people kept running through the cordoned off area, which is why the population was asked via social media and personal speeches on site to avoid the area and to observe the cordons,” said the fire brigade.

However, there was never any danger to the population.

The fugitive perpetrator was still being sought in the evening. According to the first police information, it should be a young man with dark clothing.
