The tv presenter Josefina “Pepita” Gomís, mother of actor and driver Héctor Suárez Gomís, died at the age of 83, according to her son announced through his Twitter account.

The 83-year-old woman had been hospitalized last August, after having suffered a relapse in her health.
Who was ‘Pepita Gomís’?
Born on January 29, 1938, she had a master’s degree in History from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
From 1963 to 1968, he participated in the first educational program on Mexican television called “Telekinder”. There, he taught six children in person while thousands of others learned from his television.
He also collaborated in projects such as “What do children know” and “Around Mexico in 60 minutes”.
“Pepita” Gomís was also the director of the bilingual school “Pepita Gomís Kindergarten”.
