Manchester –
Pep Guardiola spoke up about the defender’s exhibitionist action Manchester City Kyle Walker. The problem will be resolved by the club itself.
As widely reported in the British media, Walker allegedly carried out this action in front of two women he met at a bar in Wilmslow, last Sunday (5/3/2023).
Walker was indeed having a drink with his colleagues in order to undergo a two-day vacation from Guardiola.
CCTV footage shows him pulling down his pants in front of two women whom he later talks to. One of them was reportedly shocked and pointed at Walker’s genitals.
The Cheshire Police are currently investigating the case. Walker could be charged under the 2003 Sexual Offenses Act, if found guilty of intentionally committing the indecent act and causing discomfort to women who saw him.
The investigation is still ongoing and this is certainly an embarrassment for the club. Of course there will be punishment given to Walker.
Related to this, Guardiola does not want to comment much and will resolve this issue internally. This is because this is not the first time Walker has had problems with discipline because at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, he was caught having a party with friends and two commercial sex workers.
“This is a personal matter, we will resolve it internally, and we have spoken to him. This is not the place (press conference) to discuss personal matters,” said Pep Guardiola Of Manchester Evening News.
“Obviously the level of popularity of players is different than it used to be. The players already know that, when you open the door of your house, the cameras will be watching your every move, you are already part of society.”
