Deportivo already has a new coach. Since the removal of Natxo González was made official, the first candidate to replace him was Josep Lluis Martí (Palma de Mallorca, April 28, 1975). And this Monday it was officially known that, finally, the Balearic coach is the one chosen to redirect the course of a Deportivo that wants to be in the First Division next season.
The Mallorcan Pep Martí will be presented at Riazor this afternoon, starting at six, and tomorrow he will direct his first working session, preparatory for the Transcendental match this Saturday (6pm) in El Sadar against Osasuna.
Former professional soccer player with extensive experience in Spanish football, Martí has only one experience on the bench. It was in Tenerife, between the 2015-16 and 2017-18 seasons. In the second, the most successful, he was one goal away from promotion to the Santander League. In the last one he was dismissed when the team marched in 13th position.
Now, faces a new stage in A Coruña with the intention of breaking the negative dynamics in which the Coruña team is immersed and lead it, incidentally, to achieve the great goal of the season.
