Author of a historic treble last season – championship, cup and Champions League – Manchester City has not been as sovereign since the start of the 2023-2024 financial year. On the sidelines of this defeat, Pep Guardiola made a surprise announcement. The Catalan coach has announced that he will retire if his team achieves another treble at the end of the season.
