Nyon –
UEFA has already selected the award winners UEFA Coach of the Year 2022/2023. None other than the manager Manchester City Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola was named the best coach at the UEFA Award Night, Thursday (31/8/2023) evening WIB, which was held at the same time as the 2023/2024 Champions League Group Phase Drawing at the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco.
Guardiola’s success in bringing City to the treble last season was the reason. After winning the Premier League and FA Cup, Guardiola ended his drought in the Champions League.

This is Guardiola’s second treble during his career after the first was won with Barcelona in the 2008/2009 season. Guardiola managed to beat the duo of coaches from Serie A, Simone Inzaghi (Inter Milan) and Luciano Spalletti (Napoli).
Throughout last season, Guardiola made City the sharpest team with 151 goals in all competitions, an average of 2.5 goals per game! The average possession of the ball is more than 60 percent per game.
Meanwhile in women’s football, the best coach title belongs to Sariena Wiegman. The woman from the Netherlands has successfully led the England national team to win Euro 2022 and the 2023 Finalissima.
Unfortunately Wiegman and England lost to Spain in the 2023 World Cup Final which just took place in Australia-New Zealand.
