London: City coach Pep Guardiola has achieved a rare feat after Manchester City thrashed Real Madrid to reach the UEFA Champions League final. Gerdiola has added his name to the elite list of famous managers who have achieved 100 Champions League wins.
Gerdiola became only the third coach to be named on the list. Former Manchester United coach and legend Sir Alex Ferguson and current Real Madrid coach and Italian legend Carlo Ancelotti are the first to achieve such a feat.
Ancelotti has the most wins. Ancelotti’s achievement in the Champions League is 107 out of 191 matches. Ferguson has 102 wins from 190 games. Guardiola is the fastest to reach 100 wins. It took 158 matches for Gerdiola to reach 100 wins.
Guardiola’s 100 wins are with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City. So many wins from 158 matches. 33 matches were drawn and 25 were lost. Scored 376 goals and conceded 151.
So far, City have played 73 Champions League matches under Pep Guardiola’s tactics. 47 wins. 14 draw. 12 loss. Scored 173 goals. 73 have yielded.
36 matches with Bayern. 23 wins, five draws and eight losses. Total scored 87. Conceded 37.
49 Champions League appearances with Barcelona. 30 wins, 14 draws and five losses. Scored a total of 116 goals. 41 have yielded.
