According to the results of the finals of the primary elections in the three Yeongnam regions announced on the 2nd by the People Power Party Nomination Management Committee, all active lawmakers here were eliminated.

On this day, Jeong Young-hwan, chairman of the diplomatic committee, announced the results of the screening for 19 single-recommended places, 5 priority-recommended places, and 6 primary candidates, including the 3 final results of the second round of primary, at the headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.
For Pyeongtaek-byeong, Gyeonggi-do, third-term policy committee chairman Yoo Yu-dong was recommended, and for Pyeongtaek-gap, first-term proportional lawmaker Han Moo-kyung was single-recommended. In Sokcho, Inje, Goseong, and Yangyang in Gangwon Province, re-elected lawmaker Lee Yang-soo received a singular recommendation.
The only candidates recommended in the Incheon region are Seo-gu-gap lawyer Park Sang-soo, Seo-gu-eul Park Jong-jin, former main anchor of ‘Park Jong-jin’s Kwaedonanma’, and Seo-gu Byung Lee Haeng-sook, former Incheon City Deputy Mayor for Culture, Welfare and Government Affairs.

Goyangjeong, where former lawmaker Kim Yong-tae was first recommended, is an area where former lawmaker Kim Hyun-ah’s nomination was canceled due to suspicions of violating the Political Fund Act.
Kim Young-seon, a 5-term lawmaker from Changwon Uichang, Gyeongsangnam-do, was cut off (excluded from the primary). For Changwon Uichang, the primary was decided between Kim Jong-yang, former Commissioner of the Gyeongnam Police Agency, and Bae Cheol-soon, former administrator of the Senior Secretary to the President’s Office for Political Affairs. The three candidates in the Kim Hae-gap primary are Kwon Tong-il, former policy adviser to Minister of Education, former lawmaker Kim Jeong-kwon, and former Gyeongsangnam-do Governor Park Seong-ho.
Former Daejeon High Prosecutors’ Office prosecutor Kim Sang-min, who caused controversy by announcing his intention to run as an incumbent, was also cut out of Changwon Uichang, Gyeongsangnam-do. Previously, on the 5th of last month, the Ministry of Justice’s Prosecutor Disciplinary Committee took action against former prosecutor Kim, who sent a text message to people in his hometown that seemed to suggest that he would run in the general election during Chuseok in September last year while he was serving as chief prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, and held a book launch event immediately after submitting his resignation at the end of last year. He was suspended for three months.
