Starting today, a large number of city vaccination centers will administer doses to New Yorkers 50 and older without an appointment.
Among these vaccination sites in the five boroughs that can be attended are: several YMCAs in Brooklyn, the West Bronx Gymnasium, the Ford Foundation and City College in Manhattan, the libraries of Flushing and Ozone Park in Queens, among many others.
Health Commissioner Dr. Dave Chokshi said his goal is to open as many doors as possible to vaccination and make it as simple as going to the park.
At the moment, the city has more than five million doses of vaccines administered.
