People hit by another subway killed in Columbus Circle – NBC New York

NEW YORK – One person was killed Monday afternoon after his clothes got stuck in the subway door as he tried to run to avoid missing a train at a popular Manhattan station, New York police said.

The victim ran to the metro line 1 station Circle of Columbus At around 4:56 pm and after being trapped, she was dragged onto the train tracks and hit by another subway, police added.

Unfortunately the person did not survive, the uniformed officer said.

Due to the emergency, railway lines 1, 2 and 3 suffered delays in both directions.

No further details about the incident were released.

This is a case under investigation.
