Things went wrong at the location in Haarlem while administering the rapid tests. According to owner Rasmus Emmelkamp of Spoedtest.nl, a new system was put into use on Saturday where something went wrong during the scanning of the results. The system was properly purchased to prevent human error and automatically e-mails all customers who have undergone a test. “This should not happen and is very annoying for our customers. We quickly discovered the error ourselves and know exactly what went wrong. It can’t happen now either. We have adapted our protocol. ” There were no problems at the 49 other test sites of this company.

According to Emmelkamp, the number of people who received a wrong test result is very small and they have all been personally informed. He does not want to give an exact number. The victims get their money back and can have another test taken free of charge.

It is not the first time that people have received the wrong result. At the end of last year it went wrong at a test street of the GGD in Amsterdam. Then the results of 67 people were mixed up.
