‘People are terrified of Gündogan’ – Wel.nl

De Telegraaf has spoken with people who say they are the complainants who caused the Nilüfer Gündoğan affair. There were so many complaints about Volt’s MP that she was expelled from the group. The issue is said to have started with the timid MP Koekoek of the party. According to De Telegraaf, Koekkoek sounded the alarm with the party board after Gündoğan had made a comment that she was not doing her Chamber work well, and as a parliamentarian ‘should take a shower more often’. Koekkoek was not happy with that. After Koekkoek’s report, other ‘victims’ also came forward. They talk about ‘tirades’ and other ‘undesirable behaviour’.

Some of the reports were of a sexual nature: according to the party, Gündoğan would have tapped a number of younger employees on the buttocks several times, and reacted explosively. “That happened both at the group and outside it,” says a source with knowledge of the facts. She is also said to have circulated sex jokes in Volt’s WhatsApp groups, and made advances to younger members. “Women and men alike,” says another employee. In an app group called ‘Greek Pornovilla’, the MP has also made controversial statements about unvaccinated people. According to evidence-backing sources, Gundoğan suggests that the delta variant of the coronavirus could “wipe out stupidity” and refer to it as “win win”.
