The new lighter rules follow on from the existing ones. It ends on March 21. “Measures are planned until the end of the emergency. If it is extended, it is intended that it be valid until Easter, ”said Blatný when asked by News. The emergency will expire on March 28.

5000 hospitalized in April
The measure aims to reduce the strain on healthcare. “It simply came to our notice then. After March 20, the situation in hospitals could start to improve. At the end of April, we could reach values of around 5,000 people in hospitals, “said Blatný.

There are now almost 9,000 people in hospitals with covid. Earlier, Blatný stated that a greater disintegration would occur when the number of hospitalized patients was around three thousand.

In sports without a veil
Newly, people will also be able to travel to social institutions to visit children without restrictions through district boundaries. People who have already been vaccinated against covid can also now visit the hospital without undergoing a test.

The government has also slightly relaxed further restrictions. People who play sports can put the veil down even in a built-up area. The government repealed the criticized regulation, which exempted only professional athletes.

Currently, the number of newly infected is declining slightly. For example, on Wednesday, 11,928 new infections with coronavirus were added. Compared to last Wednesday, this is a decrease of 2,600 cases.
