Nevertheless: The original wort group of the Oberlandler Volkstheater, which ensures the derbleckn every year, is in the starting blocks. She finally wants to start shooting her Derbleckn film.
Penzberg – The fact that there will be no strong beer tapping with Derbleckn in the town hall this March has long been apparent due to the corona pandemic. These plans were already buried last year. The original wort group of the Oberlandler Volkstheater hatched an alternative plan back then. A Derbleckn film is supposed to be created (we reported). After all, political life after the local elections with all the new protagonists should not pass without comment. The script was ready, it was said last autumn. There are also sponsors. The actors were ready in autumn, but were slowed down by the tightening restrictions in November. A wait began for the contact restrictions to be relaxed in order to be able to release the film in time for the traditional strong beer season in mid-March. But nothing worked in January and February either.
Derbleckn-Film: The plans were not buried
Are the plans now buried? “No, we will shoot the film,” replies Claudia Herdrich. Head of the Oberlandler Volkstheater. Shooting should start next weekend. This is made possible by the relaxation of contacts: As of this week, a maximum of five people from two households may meet with 7-day incidences, and even three households with a maximum of ten people for incidences below 35. “We are all related or by marriage,” says Claudia Herdrich. “That’s why it works.” The theaters want to seize the opportunity. Especially since the Derbleckn film is to be made in different locations under the open sky. The team consists of actors who are known from the Singspiel at the Starkbierfest. Brother Servatius should also be there. Claudia Herdrich does not want to reveal more in advance – traditionally – nor where the filming locations are. Just so much: that it will be more of a short film than a full-length film. And that the delay has the advantage that material that local politicians are constantly delivering can be taken into account.
It is still unclear when the film can be seen
It is still unclear when the film will be shown. On the one hand, according to Herdrich, it depends on whether the shooting can be completed. “We strictly adhere to the regulations,” says the theater director. On the other hand, whether the incidence values are low enough for a performance. After filming, she expects another month to edit the film. You’ve been considering, she says, whether you might make it to the May buck. Or until summer, when the beer gardens open. “We hope for May or June.” In any case, says Herdrich, it would be nice if the film premiere could be combined with something.
“The Penzbergers are total strong beer fans,” says Adrian Auer, host of the “Koinschaufe”. He would normally have been the host for the strong beer festival and Derbleckn in March. In the past, he says, some fans had already queued for tickets for the town hall at midnight when they were pre-sold. He has now created a strong beer box with surprises for fans. It can be ordered, picked up or delivered for March 19 and 20.
