The Théâtre des Ilets de Montluçon is hosting a show this week at the last Avignon Festival. “PENTHÉSILÉ · E · S – Amazonomachie” will be played Wednesday 17, at 8:30 p.m., and Thursday, November 18, at 7:30 p.m..
The play focuses on the myth of Penthesilea, queen of the Amazons, in love with Achilles and slain by the hero on the grounds of the Trojan War. The director Laëtitia Guédon commissioned the text from the author Marie Dilasser, to say the relationship of women to power and power.
An actress, a singer, a dancer
The figure is embodied by an actress, a singer and a dancer. And she is accompanied by a choir of four women. The result is a oratorio-pamphlet, which mixes theater, dance, song and video.
