The students of the Preparatory Cycle for Higher Education (CPES) Théâtre de Conservatoire de Rouen play “Penthésilée” at the Théâtre des deux rives, from Thursday June 30 to Saturday July 2, 2022.

“The pupils of the conservatory staged this fictitious episode of the ‘Trojan War” written by Heinrich Von Kleist. To help the Trojans, Penthesilea and twelve other Amazons fight against Achilles and the Greeks. But Penthesilea feels irresistibly attracted to Achilles, and cannot fight him. However, her pride and her duty as an Amazon require her to defeat her enemy before loving him…”

It should be noted that the students of the Vocal Ensemble of the Conservatory also officiate during these three performances. A very nice way to end the year.

This show is offered free of charge in the hall of the Théâtre des deux rives, on Thursday June 30 at 7 p.m., Friday July 1 at 7 p.m. and Saturday July 2 at 6 p.m. You are still asked to reserve your seat in advance.
