Pentagon Releases Chinese Nuclear Weapons Data, Beijing Calls It Full of Prejudice

BEIJING – In a report published on Wednesday (11/3/2021), the Pentagon claims China expanding its nuclear arsenal faster than expected. This situation makes Beijing increasingly narrow the distance with the United States (US) regarding nuclear weapons.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the US Department of Defense report on China’s nuclear arsenal as a “prejudiced” document.

In a statement on Thursday (11/4/2021), Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin claimed, “The report released by the US Department of Defense, like previous similar reports, ignores facts… relating to the Chinese military.”

He added, “The White House is using the report to stir up talk of China’s nuclear threat.”
