In response to a request for comment, Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said the matter was under investigation.
We are aware of the press reports about social media posts and the ministry is looking into the matter, she replied.
According to the newspaper, the documents date from early March and describe the pace at which Ukrainian forces are using the all-important Khymars mobile missile launcher munitions, as well as the timing of arms deliveries and training provided by the West to Kiev’s soldiers. According to experts cited by the New York newspaper, the documents shared on Twitter and Telegram appear to be authentic, but some of them have been altered to present the situation for the Russians in a more favorable light, in particular by minimizing the extent of their losses.
The leaked data shows that 12 Ukrainian brigades are in the process of formation, nine of which are trained and equipped by the USA, notes BTA.
These formations require over 250 tanks and 350 infantry fighting vehicles.
