The Pentagon announced Thursday “sending 900 troops to the Middle East.”
Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said in a press conference: “I can confirm that since our initial announcement of the force situation, approximately 900 soldiers have subsequently been deployed or are in the process of being deployed in the US Central Command area of responsibility.”
He stressed that his country “also plans to provide Israel with the missile defense system currently in its inventory to help enhance its air defense capabilities and protect citizens from missile attacks.”
For the 20th day, the Israeli army continues to target Gaza with intense air strikes that destroyed entire neighborhoods, during which 7,028 Palestinians were martyred, including 2,913 children, 1,709 women, and 397 elderly people, and 18,484 people were injured, in addition to more than 1,950 missing people under the rubble.
During the same period, Hamas killed more than 1,400 Israelis and injured 5,132, according to the Israeli Ministry of Health.
