Pentagon: Potential military sales to Saudi Arabia will enhance its ability to confront threats

The US Defense Security and Cooperation Agency announced the approval of a potential military sales package to Saudi Arabia worth $500 million, with notification of this being delivered to Congress.
The Pentagon agency said in a statement that this proposed sale would support the foreign policy and national security goals of the United States.
She indicated that this proposed package will enhance Saudi Arabia’s ability to confront current and future threats.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had indicated in an interview with Fox News that no one wants to see Saudi Arabia change its arms sources from the United States to another country. He stressed that there are important security ties between Saudi Arabia and the United States, adding that the Kingdom is one of the five largest buyers of American weapons.
