In Tulchin, Vinnitsa region, the police detained a suspect in a robbery attack on a 73-year-old pensioner. About it informs Department of Communications of the Vinnytsia Region Police.
A resident of Tulchin contacted the police and reported a crime committed against her mother. An unknown person attacked the pensioner, tried to strangle her, raped her and took away the last 3 thousand hryvnias.
The victim was able to describe the attacker. The police have identified the suspect. Within an hour he was detained in the center of Tulchin.
The attacker has previously been repeatedly prosecuted for property crimes. His last sentence was 5 years in prison for theft and illegal possession of a vehicle.
The offender faces up to twelve years in prison with confiscation of property.
