All pensions increase from July 1 by 12.6% according to the Swiss rule
The news that all pensioners are waiting for! All pensions will rise from July 1 by 12.6% according to the Swiss rule. This is what the caretaker government’s project for the state social insurance budget for 2023 foresees, writes “Standard Muse BG”.
It will be submitted to the National Assembly on May 3 if there is no regular government by that date.
The “Galab Donev” offer also includes an increase in the minimum pension.
From July 1, it must rise by BGN 58.84 and reach BGN 525.84. This will also lead to an increase in the pensions that depend on it – social and disability.
Now there are 417,191 people with a personal pension of BGN 467. At least 100,000 more people receive up to BGN 500. However, those who are not related to work will remain below the poverty line. The social benefit for old age will be BGN 278.12, and the personal benefit – BGN 250.31.
The pension ceiling will probably remain frozen at BGN 3,400. The reason is that last year it was raised twice – from July 1 it became BGN 2,000, and from October 1 – BGN 3,400.
Currently, 1,002 people receive the maximum pension.
