The General Pension and Social Security Authority organized the “Innovation Lab” event. Where the attendees discussed the most prominent opportunities and challenges associated with the service of updating the data of retirees and beneficiaries, which is the service through which the validity of the disbursement of pensions or the shares of the beneficiaries in the pension is confirmed, through the annual update process.
At the beginning of the session, the attendees reviewed the current status of the service. As the authority was able, through the electronic linkage with some government agencies, to transform this service into a proactive service for categories of retirees over 60 years old, widows and unmarried women, and 29 thousand and 762 people benefited from it out of 45 thousand and 900 people, according to the statistics of the Customer Happiness Department for the year 2022 While the Authority is responsible for communicating and updating the rest of the other categories, through direct means of communication without attending service centers.
The authority faces many challenges, such as: the customer’s lack of confidence in the means of communication, or the inappropriate times of communication for the circumstances of some customers.
