He Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) reported that a single double payment will be made to more than 557,000 users throughout the country of the Pension Program 65, corresponding to the standards of July-August and September-October 2020.
This was announced by the minister, Patricia Donayre, in order to reinforce the protection strategy for older adults living in extreme poverty and with a higher risk of contagion from the coronavirus.
The delivery of the double subsidy will begin this Monday through three modalities: 430,636 older adults will be able to collect in the Banco de la Nación agencies, while another 126,000 who live in areas of difficult access, will receive payment through Securities Transport Companies (ETV), also known as payment carts.
“In the case of people over 80 years of age and with disabilities, who number 14,000, they will access the subsidy through the home payment method, in order to prevent them from going out and exposing themselves. We have to take care of our older adults “Said Donayre, as reported by El Peruano.

This Monday, the 17th, payment will begin at the Banco de la Nación agencies in the departments of Amazonas, Áncash, Apurímac, Cajamarca, Huancavelica, Tacna, Ucayali and Lima.
On Wednesday, August 19, it will begin in Pasco and San Martín. On Thursday 20, in Moquegua. On Monday 24 in Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cusco, Huánuco, Ica, Junín, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Piura and Puno. On August 26 it will be concluded with Tumbes.
It was also detailed that in each office of the Banco de la Nación an exclusive window will be set up to serve pensioners, according to the payment schedule that the Midis Pension 65 Program has been disseminating to its users. All this in compliance with the space management protocol at the payment points, which seeks to reduce the risk of contagion of COVID-19.
The payment advance operation will take place between August 17 and September 25. If they do not charge on the specified dates, they may do so later at any Banco de la Nación agency.
Finally, the Midis reported that, if for any reason the person using the Pension 65 could not go to collect, a close family member can manage before the justice of the peace of the corresponding jurisdiction, a power of attorney to access the subsidy.
Payment hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
