Jiangmen Daily (Reporter/Correspondent Ren Jiayan/Hu Jiaxian) Recently, Pengjiang District held a mobilization meeting for the fifth national economic census to thoroughly implement the national, provincial and municipal plans for the fifth national economic census (hereinafter referred to as the “Five Economic Census”) According to the work deployment requirements, Pengjiang District will redeploy and implement all the work of the Five Economics Popularization in an all-round way. Ma Pingao, deputy secretary of the District Party Committee, District Head, and leader of the District’s Fifth National Economic Census Leading Group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. District leader Xie Shunong presided over the meeting. Nearly 100 people including the principals of relevant units of the district’s Wujingpu leading group and principals of each town (street) government attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the District Statistics Bureau reported on the preparations for the census and the next work arrangements. The main responsible comrades of the District Market Supervision Bureau and Baisha Subdistrict made reporting speeches.
The meeting pointed out that the Five Economics Survey is a major national situation and strength survey carried out at a critical moment when our country is embarking on a new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country and marching towards the second centenary goal. It is important for understanding the economic and social development of Pengjiang District in the new period. “family wealth”, it is of great significance to accurately grasp the new changes and new characteristics of economic operations. All departments at all levels must have a clear understanding of the economic situation, raise awareness, make the Five Economics popularization a key task, and go all out to implement it.
The meeting emphasized the need to plan in advance and prepare carefully, coordinate the economic census and input-output survey in accordance with the “Fifth National Economic Census Plan”, and do a solid job in key tasks such as unit inventory, census registration, and application of census results. We must adhere to the principles of conducting censuses in accordance with the law, conducting scientific censuses, and conducting censuses for the people, and shoulder our responsibilities to ensure that census data are authentic and reliable.
The meeting requested that we should strengthen organizational leadership, strengthen collaboration and cooperation, strengthen basic guarantees such as funds and personnel, conscientiously publicize the census, comprehensively implement unit inventory, promote the smooth development of the census, and strive to become a strong district with a GDP of 100 billion and rebuild a modern new boom.
