Two hot women – the Mexican Salma Hayek and the Spaniard Penelope Cruz, once became close and became sisters. Almodovar’s muse says Salma took her under her wing and helped her get used to Hollywood. The two sultry beauties were filmed together in the movie “Bandits”, it is written dir.bg.
Penelope Cruz was a recent guest on the Ellen DeGeneres show, where she talked about how she spent her New Year’s Eve and announced her future projects.
Cruz also talks about her early career, including how her longtime friend Salma Hayek took her under her wing when she first arrived in Hollywood.
“When I went to LA for the first time, Salma and I didn’t know each other, we only talked on the phone,” she said. She explained that she had a return ticket, and planned to be there for only two months.
“I didn’t know anyone there. Salma picked me up from the airport and said, ‘You’re not going to the hotel, you’re coming to my house because it’s going to be hard at first and you’re going to feel very lonely,'” Penelope said.
Salma took her home and they have been like sisters ever since. Asked by Ellen if she knew Salma’s house was inhabited, Penelope said she wasn’t sure, but she was inexplicably scared at night. “I was scared and ended up lying down next to her in her bedroom. She said I grabbed her arm in the middle of the night. I don’t know, I must have dreamed something.”
The Spanish diva commented that it is amazing that someone you really don’t know takes such good care of you. “She’s been with me since day one,” said Javier Bardem’s wife.
Now they are so close that Penelope says she loves everything about Hayek – including her pet owl Kering. When she was in Bulgaria, Salma adopted a puppy, which she named Ocho – “eight”. In 2014, she shot the film “September in Shiraz” at the Boyana Cinema Center.
Then her husband, the French billionaire Francois-Henri Pino, came to visit her. People from the team said that he ate from the catering and he enjoyed the moussaka a lot. Salma loves animals and her dogs have been taken from the street. In his ranch he raises about 50 animals, including dogs, cats, hens, goats, turtles, rabbits, horses.
Peneleope said he loved the Kering owl.
“When Salma told me she was raising an owl, I was amazed because when I was little my grandmother had a neighbor who had an owl. I was very scared too, but at the same time I always wanted to go see him. When we visit Salma as a family, she invites us to feed the owl with little rats. And for my 8-year-old daughter, it was a little stressful, “she added.
