Abu Dhabi: Police have fined 126 vehicles in Abu Dhabi in 2020 for failing to give way to emergency vehicles.
He demanded that the rescue mission to save precious lives should not be hampered and that ambulances, police and fire trucks should be given way.
Violators face a fine of 3,000 dirhams and six black points. In addition, the vehicle will be impounded for 30 days.
A fine of Rs 10 lakh for exceeding the red signal
Abu Dhabi police have stepped up action against those who cross the red signal. A fine of 51,000 dirhams (more than Rs 10 lakh), a vehicle for one month and a driver’s license for six months will be forfeited. Punishment was tightened in the context of crossing the red signal causing serious accidents.
