An elderly tissue seller with the initials S (63) died after being shot great biker on Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Police revealed the seconds a motorcyclist fatally shot an elderly tissue seller in Menteng.
Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Laka Unit Chief AKP Setiyono confirmed the incident. He said the victim died at the scene, around 3.30pm WIB, Tuesday (27/12/2022).
“A pedestrian across the road, Sister S, had head and right leg injuries, died at the TKP,” the AKP said when asked for confirmation.
Setiyono explained the moments of the fatal accident. He said the bikers drove from south to north on Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Menteng.
“Arriving in front of SDN 1 Gondangdia, Menteng, they hit a crosswalk walking east-west on the road,” he explained.
Meanwhile, he continued, the motorcyclist with the initials RMP (43) was not questioned. This is because the motorcyclist also sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
“The motorcyclist suffered an injury to his right hand,” he said.
However, Setiyono said his group would insure the driver after he completed medical treatment. “He was previously managed by the RSCM medical team. When this is finished, we will immediately take him to the Central Jakarta Police,” he added.
A witness named Sumini (48) recounted the incident when the victim, who was a fellow tissue seller of his, was about to cross the road to go home.
