News Ciamis, (harapanrakyat.com), – To introduce agriculture to children from an early age, the Pemdes Sindangrasa, Banjaranyar, Ciamis, West Java, held a rice planting practice.
The activity, which involved dozens of early childhood and kindergarten students, was also attended by the head of the Ciamis Regency DPRD, Nanang Permana, Monday (06/12/2021).
Sindangrasa Village Head Egi Suprayoga Samsu said the activity was to educate children regarding the importance of maintaining ecosystems and maintaining life in the world of agriculture.
“This activity is a step for us to introduce the world of agriculture, especially rice planting from an early age to children,” said Egi.

He also said this as a form of elaboration of the vision and mission of Sindangrasa Village, in which there are efforts to protect businesses and farmers and regenerate farmers.
“So we really need to continue to introduce the world of agriculture to the community, even to children so that they understand and know how agriculture must be maintained from an early age,” he said.
“At least the children know how to do farming, just like this time we are giving education on how to plant rice,” he said again.
In this activity, continued Egi, his party involved around 91 early childhood and kindergarten students in his village.
“Alhamdulillah, everything is compact, starting from the students to the teaching staff who also immediately participated in the practice of planting rice, even the Chairman of the Council, thank God, was able to attend directly to provide education to the children here,” he explained.
