The family of Brazilian soccer legend Pelé has reunited at the Albert Einstein hospital, where the former illustrious star has been receiving treatment since late November.
Doctors said last week that Pele, 82, had developed cancer that required treatment for kidney and heart failure.
The family said Pelé will remain in hospital in São Paulo until Christmas.
Pele has received regular medical attention since the removal of a polyp in his colon in September last year.
