Vigo Airport has received the certification of the Airport Health Accreditation program of the Airports Council International (ACI), a program that assesses compliance with the sanitary measures recommended by ACI, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), EASA , the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, which are in turn aligned with the objectives of the Operational Recovery Plan developed at Aena since April 2020 and that it is applying to all airports in the network.
Next to that of Vigo The airports of Santiago-Rosalía de Castro, A Coruña, International Region of Murcia, Almería, Asturias, FGL Granada-Jaén, Jerez, Reus, Seve Ballesteros-Santander and Zaragoza have also obtained accreditation.
In total there are 30 airports in the Aena network that have the Airport Health Accreditation, since the airports of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, Palma de Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Girona-Costa Brava, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, Málaga- Costa del Sol, Seville, Valencia, Gran Canaria, Tenerife North-City of La Laguna, Tenerife South, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Palma, El Hierro, La Gomera and Bilbao.

Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) demonstrates the Aena’s continuous commitment to the measures adopted for the safety of employees and passengers as a result of the pandemic, with the aim of regaining the confidence of travelers in air transport.
