“We are going to have a free vaccination campaign, it has no cost. Right now the Ministry of Health supports us on this issue. Many times people cannot or do not have time to go to their health centers, so they give us the biological anti-rabies vaccine so that we can bring it free of charge to the communities of the municipality,” he commented.
He pointed out that the days will take place in the municipal seat of Pedro Escobedoas well as in larger communities such as St. Clement, The D and St. Fandila. He mentioned that sometimes direct visits are made to homes, due to the number of dogs or cats that a family owns. In addition, he indicated that vaccines cannot be delivered to people directly.
He stressed that although rabies has been eradicated in the country, it is It is important to raise awareness about the importance of this measure for animals and public health. In that sense, he recognized the work of the Ministry of Health in the matter.
“Sometimes we go to the houses personally and apply the vaccine to the animals so that they are protected, both from the disease and from any situation that could arise with a bite. Rabies has been eradicated in Mexico, but in any case it has been the result of the efforts of the Ministry of Health, which has carried out its campaigns annually,” he pointed out.
