MEXICO CITY (apro).– The deposed president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, asked the Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, that in coordination with his lawyer Guido Croxatto promote his defense internationally, while he affirms that from the cell he has been able to resist “the longing for his freedom.”
“Allow me that the international strategy of my defense will be led by the Argentine lawyer Guido Croxatto, I have entrusted him with this special task, which he carries out with special commitment, it is not the first time that Argentine lawyers have committed themselves to this town. I ask you to make the corresponding coordination with Guido and the team and the brothers and sisters of the countries committed to this just cause to support Peru ”, he requested.
In the letter he assured: “My freedom is secondary, the true freedom that must be supported, dear brother president, is that of our people today repressed and with dozens of compatriots shot to death, their mothers mourn them without being heard”:
He added that in his country “there is no justice, they besiege the university, they harass my family, I feel that I have less and less rights, I am not the only one.”
President López Obrador wrote on his social networks: “I met with Guido Croxatto, lawyer for Pedro Castillo, the president who was illegally removed and is unjustly in prison suffering from the classism and racism that sadly prevails in Peru.” .
