Pedophile hunters also caught an assistant at the UASG who wrote dirt on a girl (Review)

  • It presented itself as a 13-year-old
  • They handed him over to the police, and the prosecutor’s office charged him
  • He will be removed from the university if proven guilty
  • Him: I just wanted to meet the girl

A lecturer at the University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy (UASG) became another victim of the Pedophile Hunters, as a group of young people from Sofia are known. He fell into their trap after writing for about a month to a 16-year-old girl who claimed in the chats that she was 13. He made the schoolgirl see each other, and when they became boyfriends, and have sex. The man was cornered by the “hunters” on Sunday in the capital’s “Mladost 3” district, where a team of the 7th RU detained the teacher.

Georgi Ivanov is the chief assistant at the UASG. His communication started on December 20 of this year. The two first wrote to each other on a dating site that requires you to be 18 to register. Ivanov came across the girl’s profile. He did not imagine that behind him were the group of Alen Simeonov and his friends, who are developing their network, known as “Pedophile Hunters”. They became famous in March of this year, when after their civil arrests of pedophiles, a total of 21 people were detained, all in the same scheme as with the professor from UASG. The group says it has exposed more than 40 people seeking sex with minors online.

Ivanov’s chat with the girl quickly went to Viber. There, the girl said that she was 13 years old, but that did not worry Ivanov, it is clear from the live broadcast of the man’s arrest. It was published on Simeonov’s Facebook profile. It shows 30 seconds of a meeting between the girl and Ivanov. Then Alain and the others from the network arrive. They immediately start asking the man if he knows what’s going on.

“I just wanted to meet the girl,” replies Ivanov. While the group explains to him that what he is doing is pedophilia, and even reads him the exact article from the National Criminal Code, which he will later be accused of, Ivanov begins to defend himself. He says he did nothing wrong.

He also told a story about how his friend got a boyfriend from a dating site. He was 27-8 years old and she was 13. They were about to get married. He even wrote that he considered a difference of 20 years between two people to be normal.

In the conversation, while the boys are calling the police, he explains that he didn’t say they were getting married now. He was even willing to wait a few years for them to have sex. He also expresses willingness to take them to 3 old boyfriends he was waiting for, the youngest was 18. During this time, the boys read him excerpts from chats.

“Well, of course we will love each other very much. When we leave, we’ll kiss, hug, and when we leave as boyfriends, we’ll fuck each other. This is completely normal,” he wrote to the girl. He bragged about how good he was in bed. He was not bothered by the girl’s question as to whether something would happen to her after she is 13 years old.

“I didn’t do anything and I didn’t have any intentions”, however, Ivanov continued with the explanations. He points out that he watched the boys’ videos and congratulates them on what they’re doing. “I’m not worried as you have captured grown men, indeed, married with children, etc. And for a young, free person…”, he starts to say, when he is interrupted.

In the end, the patrol of the 7th RU detained him, and Ivanov turned out not to be 31 years old, as he presented himself, but to be 34. The prosecutor’s office accused him of the chats with the minor, in which he tried to “establish contact with her for the purpose of committing fornication and intercourse”. The man was detained for up to 72 hours and will be asked for permanent arrest.

The UASG commented to Bg on air television that they will release the teacher if his guilt is proven.
