Pediatric vaccine in Puebla; next week arrives in Tehuacán

Starting next week, pediatric vaccination against covid-19 will begin in Tehuacán and surrounding municipalitiesannounced José Antonio Martínez García, head of the state Health Secretariat (Ssa).

The official commented at a press conference that this Friday the SSA thermo kings trucks left for Mexico City to receive 70,000 Pfizer vaccines, which will be administered as the first dose to children between 5 and 11 years of age.

He recalled that this Friday is the last day of application of anticovid pediatric vaccines in the 11 modules that were installed in the municipalities of St. Andrew’s Cholula, St. Peter’s Cholula, Cuautlancingo, St. Elizabeth Cholula and Ocoyucan.

In this sense, the Secretary of Health stated that in the most recent 24 hours there was a report of 566 infections in Puebla, without a record of deaths.

commented that 93 of 217 municipalities concentrate the 4,934 active cases in the statebeing the highest figure reported during the two years of the pandemic.

Martínez García added that most of the people with the virus are receiving outpatient treatment, however, there are 43 people hospitalized, with two of them connected to a mechanical ventilator.
