Pedestrian Hit and Robbed Twice in Bronx, NY – NBC New York

NEW YORK – Authorities are searching for suspects in a dramatic hit-and-run hit-and-run over the weekend in the Bronx.

A video captured the scene of horror, when a 39-year-old man is seen running through a crosswalk and then flies away after being violently rammed by a car in which the suspects were traveling. Police said it happened this Saturday along East 169th Street around 6:40 a.m.

The victim looks motionless after being rammed, a moment that the alleged criminals took advantage of to approach and loot him. A video shows the suspected suspects getting out of their car, running to the man’s body and stealing some of his personal belongings.

Police said the suspects fled the area but returned and ran toward the victim a second time to check their wallets before leaving for good.

The 39-year-old suffered significant bodily trauma and was still listed in critical condition on Sunday.

The NYPD released video and surveillance footage Sunday morning of three men wanted in connection with the violent hit-and-run robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
