Pecco Bagnaia hit the bingo in the MotoGP championship, winning not only the riders’ world title. But he also won the BMW M Award, reserved for the best poleman of the year. The Ducati standard bearer collected a prestigious award on the eve of the last race at the Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.
On Saturday 5 November Pecco Bagnaia was awarded by the CEO of Dorna, Carmelo Ezpeleta, and by the CEO of BMW M, Frank van Melwith a BMW M3 Competition Touring as the best driver in qualifying in 2022. In this special classification he established himself as the leader with 293 points, followed by his brand colleague Jorge Martin, both with five pole positions each in the season MotoGP just finished. The secret of the world championship conquest also lies in qualifying and Pecco proved to be fast not only in terms of race pace, but also in the flying lap. An ace up his sleeve that allowed him to make the difference over his opponents and, in particular, over his direct pursuer and defending champion Fabio Quartararo.

However, it is not so obvious to see Pecco Bagnaia driving this one BMW M3 Touring. Driver contracts have restrictions in terms of sponsors that must be respected. In fact, Ducati is a brand owned by Audi, a competitor of the Propeller brand. The House of the Rings supplies its cars to the riders of the Rossa di Borgo Panigale and therefore could not drive a vehicle of another brand. He will probably have to leave this little gem in the garage for approx 100 thousand euros and capable of reaching 280 km/h.
