Feyenoord target, Thomas Beelen, did not play a minute in the exhibition match between PEC Zwolle and VV Berkum. PEC Zwolle coach Johnny Jansen kept Beelen aside to protect him, the coach tells De Stentor.
“He is in a situation that is new to him,” says PEC Zwolle coach Jansen. Although nothing has been finalized yet, PEC Zwolle is strongly considering the upcoming departure of Beelen, only it is not yet known where, Feyenoord or PSV. ‘It is, of course, common knowledge that there is interest in him. At the moment it is so concrete that it will probably happen,’ says Jansen.
Despite the concrete interest, Jansen praises the young defender’s professionalism. “He definitely doesn’t cut corners in training.”
