Last Wednesday, PrahaIN.cz brought a report from Peca pod Sněžkou, where we went skiing. There were only a minimum of people on the slopes, there were no queues during the day. However, it rained almost the entire time, which also affected the quality of the snow in the late afternoon.
Otherwise, we can’t complain about anything. Whoever we spoke to was willing to help, oblige.
A family from Vlašimi, who spent several days in the popular Krkonoše resort, had slightly different feelings.
“I still can’t understand such extreme prices, which not only deterred me from drinking my favorite beer, but also deterred me from further visits to local businesses,” the father, who did not wish to be named, told the editors.
He was in the mountains with his wife and three children.
“You’re right that it was completely swept away during the holidays and there were no people,” he said, also sending a photo of himself from the slope. But he was much more burned by the mentioned amounts for food.

Expensive
“I really don’t want to eat soup for the price of a standard lunch,” he added, adding that it was garlic soup for 125 kroner at Kladenka. According to him, everything was expensive. Beer for ninety crowns or tea for almost seventy. He sent us a receipt to prove his words
He said he pulled it out of the trash.
“When I saw that I had soup, normal cash and beer in me and the others at the table were in the same situation, only without alcohol, but that we were paying almost three thousand, I just destroyed it and threw it away. Then I thought that no one would want to believe me, so I picked it up again, unfolded it, took a picture and sent it,” he added.
Since PrahaIN.cz was in Pec pod Sněžkou repeatedly, we have to say that these are standard amounts. Main dishes here range from 180 to 350 crowns, but beer over eighty crowns is also nothing special.
Compared to 2022, there has been no enormous price increase in our experience.
