Pearl Jam arrived in Europe last month. From their European Tour 2022, they have already played concerts at the Pinkpop festivals in the Netherlands, Rock Werchter in Belgium, Lollapalooza in Sweden and France, and British Summer Time in London. The Prague stop is followed by two in Amsterdam. Then comes a break, which will be followed by a North American tour on September 1.

Last week they played Pearl Jam in Krakow, Poland. According to local media, the concert was excellent, and singer Eddie Vedder thanked everyone who helped and is helping refugees from Ukraine. “Let’s stop the wars and spread the truth,” he said.

Even with the encore, twenty-two songs were played in Krakow, among which there were gems from Even Flow, Jeremy, Once or Alive.

Pearl Jam come from the American city of Seattle, where they were formed in 1990. They are considered one of the most popular rock bands of the nineties and a fundamental representative of the grunge style, whose biggest star is Nirvana.

They were formed by Mother Love Bone members Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard. Together with guitarist Mike McCready and drummer Jack Irons, they recorded a few songs, but they lacked a singer. That ended up being San Diego surfer Eddie Vedder.

The foundations of Pearl Jam’s first songs were formed very soon. The debut album Ten was released in 1991 and was a huge success. The albums Vs., Vitalogy and others followed. The band has eleven studio records, fifteen live recordings, three compilations and a number of official bootlegs. Since its inception, it has sold around sixty million albums.
