The Pearl Jam concert in Ziggo Dome on Sunday evening has been canceled at the last minute. Singer Eddie Vedder has voice problems and is therefore unable to perform, concert organizer MOJO reports. The concert of the rock group on Monday evening in Ziggo Dome will continue for the time being.

Pearl Jam also had to cancel shows in Vienna and Prague last week due to Vedder’s voice problems. Dust, heat and smoke from fires lit during a performance at a French festival last week had struck his voice.

Pearl Jam calls the cancellation of the concert in Amsterdam “the worst possible scenario”. “We sincerely apologize to everyone who worked so hard on the show and all the fans who were looking forward to it,” the band said in a statement. “Now we focus all our energy on tomorrow’s show.”
