Eight drawings from the comic series “Peanuts” have been auctioned in the USA for a record price. The portraits of the characters Lucy, Linus, Snoopy, Schroeder, Patty, Violet, Shermy and Good Ol ‘Charlie Brown would have fetched 288,000 dollars (about 240,000 euros), more than any previous “Peanuts” works by auctioned off Draftsman Charles Schulz, said the auction house Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday night. Schulz, who died in 2000, had made the portraits for advertising purposes in 1953, and since then they have been the property of a collector. Whoever bought them was initially not announced .
