The comedy premieres this week on the NBCUniversal platform, which since its arrival has opted to revive familiar titles but updated to the 21st century, such as “Saved by the Bell.”

In the original plot, which aired until 1988, the protagonist was Punky, an abandoned girl in a Chicago shopping center who, without finding her family, grew up in an abandoned apartment with the help of the owner, a beloved photographer.
The new version follows Punky in his adult life, recently separated from his partner and in charge of 3 children with very different identities.
“The content from before was that of the people who wrote the scripts then, very uniform, although they talked about real subjects,” Prinze analyzed. “Now the same thing happens but we discuss things of the XXI century. That makes it similar and different.”
A similar approach has the new “Saved by the Bell”, the comedy that followed a group of students in an elite school in California and that in its updated version incorporates two protagonists of humble origin who attend that institute after the Government closes the center of your neighborhood.

“Punky Brewster” and “Saved by the Bell” are not the only titles to return to television.
